What Does C-TPAT Compliant Mean?
C-TPAT is the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, a voluntary supply chain security program launched in November 2001 by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), under the Department of Homeland Security. C-TPAT focuses on safeguarding the world’s trade industry from terrorists by improving the security of companies’ supply chains in respect to terrorism. Through C-TPAT, CBP is asking businesses to ensure the integrity of their security practices, as well as to communicate and verify the security guidelines of their business partners within the supply chain.
“C-TPAT compliant” in the case of AndFel, refers to our security seals having been tested to meet the requirements of the International Organization Standardization (ISO) mechanical seal standard 17712, and classified as high security, which makes them compliant with C-TPAT regulations on international shipping. AndFel security seals that are C-TPAT compliant include our 3.5 mm AluLock Cable Seals, our Snap Lock Bolt Seals, and our Economy Bolt Seals.
